ABOUT ALEX CAVAL

My name is Alex Caval. My family and I immigrated to the United States in 1988 and settled in the Magic Valley through the CSI Refugee Program when I was five years old. Growing up, my parents owned a construction company that specialized in stucco, plaster and cast stone finishes. I am a product of both private and public schools. I obtained a B.S. in both Political Science & Economics from the University of Idaho as well as a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law.

After law school, I worked for a firm in Twin Falls handling personal injury cases, representing bankruptcy trustees to recover assets for the estate, and prosecuting misdemeanors and infractions for the City of Kimberly. In 2011, I became the staff attorney for a chapter 13 bankruptcy in Boise. In 2014, I left that position to return to Twin Falls and open my own law office where I have focused on helping individuals and businesses solve their financial problems.

Professionally, I have served a seven-year term on the Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section of the Idaho State Bar. I have also served a three-year as a Lawyer Representative for the District of Idaho to the Ninth Circuit. I am a member of the Twin Falls After Hours Rotary and I also serve as a councilmember on the Twin Falls City Council. Giving back professionally and civically is important to me.

I am running for the Idaho State Senate seat in District 24 which is Twin Falls County, Gooding County, and Camas County. I am running because District 24 needs a senator in the statehouse who serves the interests of the constituents and works hard to advocate for them and the issues that matter to them.

IDAHO IS AT A CROSSROADS.

It is my commitment to my community that I will stay true to the conservative principles that are the bedrock of freedom –

fiscal responsibility

limited government

individual freedom

free markets.

Our state is at a crossroads. District 24 needs a conservative senator who is willing to put in the work, understand the issues, and pass legislation that will help the Magic Valley.

We need a senator who supports agribusiness, our economic engine.

We need a senator who supports water because it is our lifeblood.

We need a senator who works to improve public schools in the Magic Valley because they prepare the generations that come after us.

Our current senator has hurt, not helped, the Magic Valley on these issues and many others. It is easy to complain about the current state of things but it takes leadership to navigate the path forward while protecting the things that make us unique – the incumbent lacks that leadership. I am running for the Idaho Senate in District 24 because the Magic Valley deserves elected leaders who represent our views and our interests and who will put in the hard work to advocate for them.

The Magic Valley is again experiencing historic growth.

I learned from my immigrant parents that the American dream is alive and well for those who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work for it. I will work with Governor Little to protect our water, our agricultural roots, and our natural resources. I will also work to ensure that our schools are funded and that parents have a say in what their children are taught.
